Pre-Nursery
In Pre-Nursery, Children enter from 2 -3 years of age. Pre-Nursery offers an exciting and nurturing environment for our youngest learners.
Each class is led by a class teacher with four Learning Support Assistants working in each class. We provide lots of opportunities for children to develop their physical development with climbing frames, tyre swings, hills to run up and down and logs to balance and jump from. The children can also develop their cycling skills on our bike track.

We have natural environments with many garden areas. We aim to instill in the children a love of being in nature and caring for our natural world, without fear of getting wet and muddy!

The morning continues with free flow play in the indoor and outdoor provision. At the end of the morning, we sit together as a class and have a story or sing more songs and we always finish our time together with our goodbye song.
As the children progress through Pre-Nursery, we begin to introduce focused tasks with a teacher. When we feel the children are ready, usually at the end of term one or at the start of term two, we take the children to participate in movement sessions in the Rampayoh Hall while music and dance sessions are conducted in the Rampayoh Music Room.
When the children arrive at Pre-Nursery, they have free flow access to the garden areas and the veranda to allow them to practise and develop their gross motor skills. At approximately 9.15am, we tidy up and have a ten minute carpet session comprising of our good morning song, a story, and followed by more songs. This leads us into snack time, where all of the children in Pre-Nursery sit together to enjoy their snack with friends. We encourage children to talk and be sociable as well as become independent in opening snack boxes and packets. The children have their own collage snack mat, which encourages more conversations about family members.
